ORION I.P. Office was founded in 1968 and, since its inception, has been providing a full range of intellectual property services. We are a partnership of patent and trade-mark attorneys registered to file and prosecute patent, trade-mark, and industrial design applications in Japan. We have connections throughout the world that enable us to efficiently file and proceed applications for our clients around the world.

ORION I.P. Office has been providing non-Japanese practitioners with patent and trademark services by accurate, clear and concise reports of office actions, answers to client’s inquiries. We avoid unreasonable charges such as typing expenses, translation fees and the like. In addition, we have provided non-Japanese clients with expert opinions, due diligence services, freedom-to-practice patent searches, invalidity patent searches and the like, the reports of which are accurate, concise, and easily-understandable.

Sagamihara office was established in 2004 by Toru Ishikawa, who is a patent attorney, a partner of ORION I.P. Office, worked for Fish & Richardson P.C. as a member of Biotechnology group, and had worked for Nakamura & partners, one of the leading offices in Japan, as a member of Bio/Chem. group. Sagamihara office mainly handles patent cases relating to Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical devices.

Sagamihara office has a good collaborative relationship with other offices of ORION IPO and provides Non-Japanese practitioners and clients with a full range of services in the intellectual property in a variety of technology fields such as pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, medical device, electronics, computer software, information and communication technology.
